Job Title: General Laborer

Shift – Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm

$17 an hour

Located on the west side of town

Job Description:

 

We are seeking hardworking and reliable General Laborers to join our team for a carpet and tile removal project. The successful candidate will assist with demolition and floor removal tasks ensuring work is performed safely efficiently and to quality standards. This is a physically demanding role requiring strength stamina and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

•Remove old flooring materials including carpet padding tile and adhesive

•Operate basic hand tools (e.g. scrapers hammers pry bars) and power tools (e.g. floor strippers grinders saws)

•Load and dispose of debris in dumpsters or designated areas

•Prepare flooring surfaces for new installations by cleaning and leveling subfloors

•Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

•Assist with transporting materials and equipment to and from job sites

•Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure project timelines are met

•Maintain a clean and organized work area

•Perform other general labor duties as assigned

Qualifications:

•High school diploma or GED preferred but not required

•Previous experience in construction demolition or flooring a plus but not required

•Ability to lift up to 50 lbs stand bend kneel and work in physically demanding conditions for extended periods

•Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in flooring removal

•Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions

•Reliable transportation to and from job sites

•Must be punctual dependable and able to work independently or as part of a team

•Must be able to pass a Background and Drug Test

Work Environment:

•Work is performed in commercial setting

•Exposure to dust debris noise and various weather conditions

•Use of protective equipment such as gloves safety glasses dust masks and knee pads is required
