Job Title: Supply Chain Specialist

Full Time temp to hire

Location: Los Lunas NM

Shift: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm

Pay: $20 – $25 Depending on Experience

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Supply Chain Specialist position will assist the Supply Chain Supervisor with purchasing a wide variety of materials necessary. Additional responsibilities will include assisting with maintaining inventory on material. Candidate must be willing to advance in areas of logistics and become APEX certified.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or equivalent

• One to two years experience in a manufacturing industry

• Execute assignments in an accurate timely and safe manner

 

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES

 

• Basic knowledge of computer skills and data entry

• Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Outlook Word and Excel

• Basic mathematic skills

• Knowledge of raw materials production processes quality control costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods

• Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions

• Ability to be hands on and have sense of urgency

• Ability to prioritize activities and negotiate due dates

• Ability to organize tasks/work environment in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks daily remaining calm under pressure

• Ability to be flexible in the face of changing priorities

• Ability to work effectively across departmental lines

• Ability to communicate effectively via email written and spoken

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to grasp the key points from complicated details

• Exemplary attention to detail and completeness

• Unquestionable business and personal integrity discretion and judgment

  

SUMMARY OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow directions and priorities from Supply Chain Supervisor

• Properly Receive incoming materials into the system

• Perform Inventory cycle counts periodically

• Manage warehouse materials inventories

• Obtain copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility

• Comply with OSHA Standards

• Other duties as assigned

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

• Eye and ear protection are required in the manufacturing areas of the facility. Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck

• Frequently lift to 40 pounds and adjust body position to bend stoop stand walk turn pivot and stand for long periods of time

• Having a good sense of balance

• Having good eye-hand-foot coordination

• Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights

• Ability to work in varying temperatures depending upon season
